Cambridge-Africa PhD Scholarship Scheme

Cambridge-Africa Scholarships

The University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Trust generously provided funding to enable 35 (five per year for seven years) outstanding applicants from sub-Saharan African countries to study for PhDs at the University of Cambridge. The PhDs could be in any subject area, but for 2021 the topic needed to have clear relevance to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Preference was given to applicants proposing to work on projects that focused on African priorities, and those who had links to African institutions.

The scholarship ran from 2015 to 2021 and is now closed.
